Today´s St. Barths Bucket racing proved about as good as it gets, despite the unseasonable weather, featuring as usual the ‘Round the Island Race’ clockwise and an incredible fleet of 47 most impressive sailing yachts, hailing from every yacht building nation on earth, with a LOA of close to two kilometers in length total is mind boggling to any normal human being, even us hundreds of die-hard Bucketeers.
J Class charter yacht Endeavour by the New Zealand company Yachting Developments, is the winner of the first day’s race in the 2012 St Barths Bucket Regatta in the Caribbean.
J Class Yachts have a special place in yachting lore, which still resonates today thanks to the efforts both some dedicated yacht owners and the J Class Association which since 2000 has worked tirelessly to bring these floating legends back to life.
Perini Navi participates at this year´s St. Barths Bucket Regatta, represented by 10 fabulous vessels, including Andromeda la Dea, Antara, Baracuda, Clan VIII, Fidelis, Helios, Panthalassa, Parsifall III, Zenji and P2.
Doyle Sailmakers will once again sponsor the 2012 St Barths Bucket Regatta, held from March 22 to 25. Perini Navi 38m charter yacht P2 comes third at the 2012 Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta. The thirteen participating yachts arrived in the following order: Indio, Hanuman, P2, Sojana, Firefly, Salperton, Bliss, Ganesha, Marie, Zefira, Billy Budd, Lady B and Altair.

Caribbean Regattas 2012, namely the Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous, running these days (March 14-17) and the St. Barths Bucket Regatta, taking place from March 22 to 25, are to be attended by Fitzroy built Superyachts, such as the 49.7m sailing yacht Zefira or the 38.9m charter yacht Ganesha (ex Zulu) and many others.
St Barth’s Bucket yacht regatta will be held from March 22 to 25, 2012 with over 40 spectacular vessels taking part in this popular race, including the Holland Jachtbouw sailing yacht Athos and the superyacht Hetairos.
The 130´ luxury charter yacht Endeavour is heading for the Caribbean on board Dockwise, after her 18-month refit at Yachting Developments and successful sea trials. She will take part in the Antigua St Barths Bucket regatta in March.
The Bucket Book is to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Bucket Regattas from 1986-2011. The Bucket Book will be informative as well as entertaining, celebrating an event that has established itself as a Regatta in a class by itself.
Mike Slade’s record breaking Maxi, ICAP Leopard sailing yacht is undergoing final preparations for a breath-taking season of racing. ICAP Leopard sailed across the Atlantic last November to take part in the first ever, Atlantic Ocean Racing Series. The 100 ft Maxi has a scintillating four-month programme of racing, in some of the most spectacular locations throughout the Caribbean and America.
