Today, April 18, 2014, saw Day 3 of the currently running Les Voiles de St Barth, marked by the victory of sailing yacht Caol Il R in the Maxi class, followed by Swan 80 superyacht Selene, taking second place.
Day 2 of the Les Voiles de St Barth 2014 was marked by challenging conditions, caused by more breeze, coming in steady line of squalls, moving south to north across the island.
This year’s Les Voiles de St Barth kicked off yesterday, on April 15, marked by a light southeasterly wind of about 8 -10 knots.
Following the yesterday’s official opening of this year’s 5th edition of Les Voiles de St Barth, the racing is set to kick off today, on April 15, marked by the participation of 70 yachts.
The Les Voiles de St Barth 2014 is set to start tomorrow, on April 14, hosting 70 yachts and 1000 sailors, coming from 21 countries.
This year’s Les Voiles de St Barth is set to kick off next week. The popular Caribbean regatta will consist of four days of racing, starting Tuesday, April 15, with one lay-day for merry making at Nikki Beach, before the regatta concludes on Saturday, April 19, with an awards ceremony on the Quay at Gustavia Harbor.
Stephens Waring-designed superyacht Bequia won her class at last month’s St Barths Bucket Regatta 2014. This majestic 90-foot modern classic yawl was built by Brooklin Boat Yard in 2009.
Measuring 55 meters in length, the 2010 Vitters superyacht Marie has become the winner of the 2014 St Barths Bucket regatta in the Elegantes class.
To take place in the popular Caribbean yacht charter destination – St Barth, the 2014 Les Voiles de St. Barth is set to kick off on April 14. The event is expected to host a record number of 70 yachts.
The recently concluded St Barths Bucket 2014 hosted two Oyster vessels: Oyster 885-01 superyacht Lush, claiming ninth overall, as well as Oyster 100 luxury yacht Sarafin, taking fourth place.
Six MCM superyachts attended the 2014 St Barth Bucket Regatta. Two of these achieved an overall victory, including luxury yacht Marie, which won the Elegantes class and overall honours from among all classes.
