Friday, August 16, 2013, saw the end of the historic 45th edition of Rolex Fastnet Race, marked by the final prizegiving. The 2013 race was attended by 336 yachts from 20 countries.
This year’s Rolex Fastnet Race is marked by the participation of over 20 different nations from four continents. At the start of this popular regatta, the record-breaking 336 yachts were present.
This year’s monohull winner of the currently running Rolex Fastnet Race is set to become the 100-foot supermaxi yacht Esimit Europa 2.
The first yacht to round the Fastnet Rock at the currently running Rolex Fastnet Race in the UK was the 131-foot Maxi Trimaran Spindrift 2.
Set to start from the Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes, UK, on Sunday, August 11, the 2013 Rolex Fastnet Race will be attended by such spectacular vessels as the 100-foot charter yacht ICAP Leopard or the 100-foot superyacht Esimit Europa 2. The largest as well as fastest boat on display will be the 130-foot Maxi trimaran yacht Spindrift 2.
