Next year’s 2nd edition of the Solar1 Monte Carlo Cup will run from July 9 to 11, 2015. So far, 21 teams from all over the world have signed up for three days of exhilarating racing in the Mediterranean Sea.
Solar1 has officially announced its return to Monte Carlo, with the race scheduled from 9th to 11th July, 2015, Monaco.
It has been a very successful first edition of the Solar1 Monte Carlo Cup world solar boat championship, hosted by the glamorous Monaco yacht holiday destination, nestled in the Mediterranean. The event was attended by 24 international teams.
The very first Solar1 Monte-Carlo Cup 2014, hosted by the glamorous Mediterranean yacht holiday destination – Monaco, has come to its end. The successful inaugural event also hosted the giant 30m catamaran PlanetSolar, representing the largest solar-powered boat in the world.
The inaugural Solar1 Monte Carlo Cup 2014 will host the world’s largest solar boat, PlanetSolar, as its Guest of Honour. The race will run in the beautiful Mediterranean yacht vacation location – Monaco from July 10 to 12.
June 20, 2014, in the lovely Monaco yacht holiday location, saw Prince Albert preside over the opening of the Yacht Club de Monaco’s new building. This has been designed by British architect, Lord Norman Foster.
Set to run from July 9 to 12, the inaugural Solar1 Monte-Carlo Cup 2014 will be hosted by Port Hercule, situated in the fantastic Western Mediterranean yacht charter destination – Monaco. So far, 21 teams have confirmed their participation.
The Solar1 Monte Carlo Cup is scheduled for the vibrant month of July at the new Yacht Club de Monaco, which is designed by Sir Norman Foster and is due to open in June, just ahead of the race.
