Simpson Marine, Asia’s largest yacht dealership, has taken delivery of five brand new luxury yachts in Singapore this week, amidst signs that the luxury yacht sector is showing healthy growth. The new arrivals include Azimut Yachts and a Beneteau sail yacht.
The inaugural Business Conference for regional dealers of Fairline Boats Asia took place on Monday 8th November 2010 at the One15 Marina Club in Singapore and was attended by 16 persons, representing every dealer in the region.
The 2nd Asia Superyacht Conference hosted over 220 participants in total from over 35 countries around the world. The event highlighted both the tremendous opportunities in the Asia region and the need for Governments, Associations and the commercial sector to work together.
Singapore-based commercial shipyards Dauphin Shipyard Pte and McPec Marine & Offshore Engineering Pte. plan to redevelop parts of their yards in order to create dedicated superyacht refit and repair facility.

Kingship will present “Green Voyager – a new way of cruising” at the second Singapore Superyacht Conference at ONE°15 Marina Club. Mr Tork Buckley, Senior Consultant at BBCL, will represent Kingship to do a 40 minute presentation at 1400hours on the 12th of October.
A new dedicated Singapore superyacht show and ICOMIA’s 2011 World Marina Conference are both to be held in Singapore in the first half of next year. The new Singapore Yacht Show will be held from April 8-10 2011 at the One 15 Marina Club on Sentosa Island. The ICOMIA World Marinas Conference 2011 will be held May on 10-12.
The Superyacht Singapore Association (SSA) has confirmed that the number of superyacht visiting Singapore is increasing. Aiming for a total of 80 yachts to visit the area in 2010, by June, they had proudly registered a total of 54 unique superyachts (including locally-based ones), comfortably surpassing the halfway mark by 14 units and more than doubling the 26 vessels that were registered in the same period in 2009.
