An impressive 100 superyachts were nominated for an award and from all these exceptional yachts the sailing yacht Atlantic emerged as one of the finalists in the category “Best Sailing Yacht in 45m+ size range”. The 56.39m (185′) classic yacht Atlantic will be in the dry-dock for a fresh coat of Antifouling in April and then she will head off to sail her first full season.
The world renowned waters of Sardinia’s Porto Cervo will be the venue for the 2011 Audi TP52 World Championships as the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (YCCS) hosts to the regatta from the 2nd to the 8th of October. The last time that the TP52 World Championships were hosted on these waters was the 2007 edition, won by Sweden’s Torbjorn Tornqvist ‘s Artemis.
The Perini Navi Group is pleased to announce that the fourth edition of the Perini Navi Cup, a regatta dedicated exclusively to sailing yachts built by Perini Navi, will be held from September 1 – 4 in Porto Cervo, Sardinia.
Dubois has announced that, in partnership with Yacht Carbon Offset, it has balanced the estimated carbon footprint of this year’s regatta, which includes an allowance for participants’ air travel to Sardinia. Hosted by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in Porto Cervo, The Dubois Cup will take place between 4-6 June 2011.

Sardinia Yacht Services (SYS) have announced the new acquisition and launch of their own Marine Center in Olbia. The new Marine Center in Olbia will offer owners and clients the possibility to store, repair and manage yachts, vessels and tenders. The facility offers a travel with a capacity to lift up to 100 tons and space for mooring superyachts of up to 50 meters in length with a draft of 4,5 meters.
With no racing on Day 4 of the 2010 Oyster Regatta, the overall results after the three days of racing became final and the winners of the Oyster Jubilee Regatta were Trevor Silver with his Oyster 655 Roulette V2 in Class One and Gerd and Annemarie Kohlmoos with their new Oyster 54 sailing yacht Sarabande in Class Two.
Round up of the third day at the Audi MedCup regatta – Region of Sardinia Trophy
A fleet of 30 elegant Oyster sailing yachts took to the waters off Sardinia’s Costa Smeralda for the first day of racing in the Oyster Jubilee Regatta which is the 25th event in the Oyster Regatta series hosted for the first time by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda. Racing started on schedule on a stunning 15 mile coastal course under azure blue sky with a warm breeze.
