Three days of inshore competition at this year’s Giraglia Rolex Cup brought a great success for a high number of Swan yachts, competing in this popular race from St Tropez, France to Sanremo, Italy. The Swan 53 sailing yacht Ondine placed first in the IRC B fleet, while the Swan 45 luxury yacht Mandolino took second place in the ORC A fleet, along with the Swan 60 yacht Bronenosec, placing third in the IRC o fleet.
Playing host to the currently running Giraglia Rolex Cup as well as the well known Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez, the fabulous Mediterranean yacht charter destination Saint-Tropez is a real sailing paradise.
The 2012 Giraglia Rolex Cup from St Tropez, France to Sanremo, Italy drew to a close its three days of inshore racing, with Sir Peter Ogden’s 62-foot Mini Maxi luxury yacht Jethou (GBR) taking the title of the fastest yacht on the water.
Despite strong winds and heavy seas, the Swan 60 sailing yacht Bronenosec continued racing in today’s Giraglia Rolex Cup in order to gain the leading position in Class o IRC.

This year’s Giraglia Rolex Cup kicked off today with a prologue race from Sanremo, Italy to St Tropez, France. The final prizegiving will take place in the prestigious Yacht Club Sanremo on Friday 15 June.
The 60th Giraglia Rolex Cup is one month away from its start, with the prologue race from Sanremo to Saint Tropez taking place on Friday 8 June and the main race from St Tropez to Sanremo via Giraglia to start on Wednesday 13 June.
