Expected to arrive in Capri tomorrow, the 15 crews competing in the Rolex Volcano Race left Gaeta in Italy today at 15:00 CEST.
A steady day for the sailing yacht Bronenosec of Saint Petersburg Yacht Club, of the Leg One of the Rolex Volcano Race – from Gaeta to Capri.
Today’s windward/leeward race, marking the beginning of the Rolex Volcano Race 2012 has been won by Sir Peter Ogden’s 60ft sailing yacht Mini Maxi Jethou.
With the participation of such spectacular vessels as the 100ft superyacht Y3K or the 112ft sailing yacht Nilaya, the Rolex Volcano Race officially kicks off on Sunday 20 May.
Following the Palma Vela race, the Yacht Club of Saint Peterburg’s Swan 60 sailing yacht Bronenosec is now heading to Italy to participate in the Rolex Volcano Race, running from May 19 to 25.
The second edition of the Rolex Volcano Race, running from May 19 to 25, 2012 is expecting to host 22 magnificent yachts, competing in this Tyrrhenian Sea race, including the 112´ superyacht Nilaya by Baltic Yachts as well as the 100´ luxury yacht Y3K by Wally Yachts and many others.
