The standings for the Rolex Swan Cup in Sardinia were left unchanged from Friday’s finishes. In the Maxi Class A, Danilo Salsi’s Swan 90 DSK Pioneer Investment (ITA) led. In Grand Prix Class B, Piet Hein Baker’s Silveren Swaen (NED), a Swan 53, ended the week first. In the Sparkman & Stephens Class C, Peter Simon’s Swan 65 Monsoon Jaguar(GBR) won and in the ClubSwan 42 Class, it was Enrico Scerni on Kora 4(ITA) who repeated his win of 2008.

Update on the second day of racing at the 2010 Rolex Swan Cup regatta.
For the 92 yachts at the dock in Porto Cervo it was a frustrating start to a promising week of racing in the Rolex Swan Cup. The yachts were held at the dock for four hours waiting for the breeze and, more importantly, the seas to abate.
Rolex Swan Cup will start tomorrow 15th of September 2010 and will run through to 19th September with ninety-two Swans competing. The race also includes the Rolex Swan 45 World Championship.

Top sailing yacht have been attracted to the Porto Cervo to compete at the 2010 Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup including the 45 metre sailing yacht Saudade (MLT) and Salperton (CAY), and Hasso Plattner’s 44 metre Visione (GER), as well as the stunning classic-looking 42 metre J-Class, Ranger, Neville Crichton’s Shockwave (ex-Alfa Romeo 3) (NZL), Niklas Zennstrom’s Rán (GBR), Michael Cotton’s Whisper (IRL), and Claus-Peter Offen’s Y3K (GER).
