Rhu Marina in Scotland has got an £800,000 upgrade, recently completed by the Crown Estate. This consisted of replacement of wooden-decked walkways as well as pontoons.
The Crown Estate is to invest again in Scotland´s Rhu Marina, situated in a picturesque location on the side of the Gareloch on the north side of the Firth of Clyde. The wooden decked walkways, pontoons as well as fingers at the marina will be replaced with more robust concrete decked equipment.
The picturesque West Coast of Scotland is prone to heavy weather, and Rhu Marina, on the Firth of Clyde, is exposed to strong winds and treacherous currents. To protect the 240-berth marina and provide safe harbor for sailors year-round, installation expert Walcon Marine turned to SF Marina USA to replace the marina’s aging breakwater.
Walcon Marine sign a contract for an expansion of the Marina at RHU on the west coast of Scotland. The project includes additional 58 berths, replacement of the existing floating breakwater, as well as the construction of the new wave attenuating pontoon.
