The first yacht to round the Fastnet Rock at the currently running Rolex Fastnet Race in the UK was the 131-foot Maxi Trimaran Spindrift 2.
Saturday evening, August 10, 2013, saw the Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week draw to a close. The 2013 edition of this popular event was another great success.
This year’s Rolex Fastnet Race is set to start on Sunday, August 11, hosting a record fleet of 347 yachts. These include such impressive vessels as the 100-foot charter yacht ICAP Leopard or the 100-foot superyacht Esimit Europa 2.
so far, a total number of 351 yachts have confirmed their participation in the next Rolex Fastnet Race, starting on August 11, 2013. This year, 119 boats are from overseas.
The next Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup is set to kick off on September 1, 2013. To be hosted by the beautiful Mediterranean yacht charter destination – Sardinia’s Porto Cervo in Italy, the event will be attended by such majestic vessels as the 66-metre mega yacht Hetairos.
Set to start from the Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes, UK, on Sunday, August 11, the 2013 Rolex Fastnet Race will be attended by such spectacular vessels as the 100-foot charter yacht ICAP Leopard or the 100-foot superyacht Esimit Europa 2. The largest as well as fastest boat on display will be the 130-foot Maxi trimaran yacht Spindrift 2.
Set to kick off on August 11, the 2013 Rolex Fastnet Race will be once again attending by the fleet of spectacular yachts. Some of these, such superyacht Esimit Europa 2, will be hosted by the Gosport-based specialist boatyard, Endeavour Quay.
Set to run this August, the Rolex Fastnet Race 2013 will be attended by the largest number of participants in its 89-year history. Niklas Zennström’s 72′ mini maxi yacht Rán 2 will be once again present, hoping to win the race for the third time in a row.

The second day of the 2013 RORC Caribbean 600 yacht race was marked by sleigh ride. The yachts competing in this popular race have reached the breathtaking island of St. Kitts.
Set to kick off in Antigua on February 18, the 2013 RORC Caribbean 600 yacht race will host a record fleet of luxury yachts, including such spectacular vessels as the 216-foot Hetairos megayacht that won the race in 2012.
