In order to offer close competing in fleets of superyachts widely differing designs, dimensions as well as technical characteristics, the next year’s Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht & Rendezvous and the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta will feature the International Super Yacht Rule.
The overall winners of the 2012 Rolex Swan Cup regatta held in Sardinia are: sailing yacht Bronenosec in Max, Natalia yacht in Grand Prix, Ondine in Classic and Earlybird in Rolex Swan 45 World Championship.

Due to strong winds caused by Mistral, the morning’s competing on Day 3 of the 2012 Rolex Swan Cup was postponed untill 14:00 CEST. Day 3 victory went to charter yacht Highland Breeze (NED) in Maxi; sailing yacht Merel Four (NED) in Grand Prix; luxury yacht Shirlaf (ITA) in Classic while Earlybird (GER) took the first place in the Rolex Swan 45 World Championship.
Day 2 of this year’s Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup was marked by a 20-knot breeze, allowing to start the racing as planned. Victory went to Swan 80 yacht Berenice Bis in Maxi Class, Magical Mystery Tour yacht in Grand Prix class and Ondine yacht in Classic. Talj yacht has become the best performer in the Rolex Swan 45 World Championship.
This year’s 23rd edition of the popular Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup was attended by several Hall Spars equipped vessels, taking victory in three of the five Divisions. These include Bella Mente yacht, superyacht Nilaya or luxury yacht Aegir.
Racing on the first day of the Rolex Swan Cup 2012 kicked off in the afternoon, due to the morning’s light wind. On Racing Day 5 of this year’s Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup the weather conditions permitted to start racing in the afternoon, bringing the victory for sailing yacht Rán 2 (GBR), in the Mini Maxi Rolex World Championship; superyacht Esimit Europa 2 (SLO) in Maxi Racing; luxury yacht Aegir (GBR) in Maxi Racing/Cruising; superyacht Nilaya (GBR) in Supermaxi and sailing yacht Magic Carpet 2 (GBR) in the Wally class.
