This year’s Rolex Sydney Hobart Race has been marked by the seventh line honours win of the impressive 100-foot superyacht Wild Oats XI.
The second day of the 2013 Rolex Sydney Hobart race say the fleet slowing down, as the lead yachts made they way down the southeast coast of Australia.
First day of the 69th Sydney Hobart Race was accompanied by 15-18-knot southeasterly winds with sunshine and blue skies.
As tradition dictates, the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race is expected to kick off from Sydney Harbour on December 26, 2013. The 69th edition of this popular event will host an amazing fleet of 94 yachts, including the 2012 Line Honours and Overall Winner – the 100ft superyacht Wild Oats XI.

A preview of the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, the 20th edition of SOLAS Big Boat Challenge is set to start in Sydney Harbour today, on December 10, 2013.
McConaghy Boats, including the 30-metre superyacht Wild Oats XI as well as the 30-metre luxury yacht Wild Thing, are currently preparing for the upcoming Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, which will kick off later this month.
Sydney Hobart race record holder, Bob Oatley’s supermaxi yacht Wild Oats XI, will have her repaired mast re-stepped tomorrow, on December 5, 2013.
