The eagerly awaited Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta and Rendezvous 2013 will kick off tomorrow, to be attended by 20 sailing yachts and 7 motor yachts, hosted by the prominent Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in the popular Caribbean yacht charter destination – Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands.
Burak Akgül and Vanni Marchini have been respectively appointed as Managing Director Sales, Marketing & Design and Managing Director Operations for Perini Navi Group, in order to reinforce the Italian luxury yacht builder on the global marketplace.
Manufacturers of the best sailing superyachts in the world, Alloy Yachts, Perini Navi, Royal Huisman as well as Vitters Shipyard, have been announced as Joint Sponsors of the all-new America’s Cup Superyacht Regatta. This special event will be held in San Francisco on September 9, 11 and 13, 2013.
This year’s Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous will host an impressive number of luxury vessels. So far, 21 sailing yachts and 6 motor yachts have registered, including such spectacular vessels as the 56 m Perini Navi charter yacht Phantalassa.
This year’s superyacht racing season will kick off with the Antigua Superyacht Challenge, that will start at the end of this month. There will once again be a highly anticipated Superyacht Cup Palma that will host such spectacular vessels as Perini Navi charter yacht P2.
After winning the contract last year, Future Fibres shipped a complete set of composite rigging back for the latest 60m Perini Navi superyacht Hull C.2193 last week. The company will also deliver a full carbon mast and rigging package for the second 60m Perini Navi yacht Hull C.2218, due to be delivered this winter.
Designed in-house by the yard’s naval architects in collaboration with renowned Ron Holland Design, the splendid 40 M Fast Cruising series yacht State of Grace (hull C.2180) has been recently launched by the respected Italian shipyard, Perini Navi.
