The prestigious UK luxury yacht Pendennis is pleased to announce that its Apprenticeship scheme has received futher awards. The company has been awarded with the ‘Large Employer of the Year’ prize for the South West.
Pendennis Palma is celebrating its first anniversary. This successful refit facility based at STP in Palma de Mallorca has already completed over 10 refits. These include charter yachts Nostromo and Andromeda La Dea, as well as superyacht Gloria by Jongert. From October 2012, the company will also start working on the 1928 classic motor yacht Fair Lady.
The total number of 14 graduates from the Pendennis General Apprenticeship Scheme have been recently awarded at the Falmouth Hotel. Most of these will go on working for this prestigious luxury yacht builder.
Pendennis will attend the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show with four luxury vessels on display. These include the 55m superyacht Phantom, the 44m catamaran yacht Hemisphere, the 42m sailing yacht Rebecca, as well as the 96m megayacht Vava II.
A very busy refit facility, Pendennis Palma, celebrates its first birthday. The company has already worked on plenty of luxury vessels, such as Pendennis charter yacht Nostromo, luxury yacht Tugatsu or Perini Navi charter yacht Andromeda La Dea. The future projects include the refit of superyacht Fair Lady.
The President of Sunseeker Yachts, Robert Braithwaite CBE, will act as a closing speaker of this year’s Shipwrights Annual Lecture, held this October. Among 300 delegates are such other prestigious luxury yacht builders as Princess, Pendennis, Fairline and Discovery Yachts.
Currently running until September 9, the Make it in Great Britain exhibition is the initiative of the British government to promote the best of the British manufacturing industry. The marine sector is represented by the prestigious UK-based builders, Sunseeker, Pendennis, as well as Discovery Yachts.

It was a great success for the 27m sailing yacht Bequia, designed by Stephens Waring Yacht Design as their first superyacht, at the 2012 Pendennis Cup. A traditionally constructed yawl, this spendid vessel is now expected to cruise in Sweden and Mallorca, before starting a summer season of racing next year.
Five meters longer in length, the 47m motor yacht A2, previously known as Masquerade of Sole, has been successfully re-launched at Pendennis yard in Falmouth. Built by Feadship in 1983, this exceptional vessel now provides modern and comfortable cabins for a total number of 10 guests.
