Pendennis Shipyard proudly re-launched the 50m classic superyacht MALAHNE on March 14, following her meticulous 30-month restoration. To be available for luxury yacht charter, MALAHNE was originally built by Camper & Nicholsons in 1937.
Piers Wilson is the deserving recipient of the inaugural Superyacht UK Lifetime Achievement award. The all-new prize was presented to Piers at the annual Superyacht UK (SYUK) Technical Seminar on Thursday 15 January 2015.

The winner of the inaugural Superyacht UK Design competition has become David Rowles, a third year student from Coventry University. Sponsored by BMT Nigel Gee as well as Pendennis Shipyard, the competition is designed to raise the profile of the essential hand-drawing skill.
In recent months, Pendennis has seen two apprentice courses graduate, with 18 young people moving on to full time careers at the Falmouth superyacht shipyard. A new group of Surface Finishing Apprentices will begin their three-year course later this month. Two of the final year Apprentices were recognised for their hard work and high standard of training as they were selected as second and fourth place in the annual Worshipful Company of Shipwrights Queen’s Silver Medal.

The CWM FX London Boat Show 2015 will be marked by the inaugural Superyacht UK Young Designer Competition, running from Wednesday 14 to Thursday 15 January 2015. The competition is sponsored by BMT Nigel Gee and Pendennis Shipyard.
The new boatbuilding apprenticeship is being developed by employers within the government’s trailblazer scheme. Co-ordinated by the British Marine Federation (BMF), the employer led group to encourage apprentices in the marine industry is led by Berthon Boat Company, with the participation of BMF member companies, including Sunseeker, Princess Yachts, Fairline Boats, Pendennis, to name but a few.

Created by the prominent UK superyacht manufacturer Pendennis, the J.P.Morgan Media Centre at Lord’s Cricket Ground celebrates its 15th anniversary this year. To mark the 15th anniversary of the completion of this ground-breaking project, Pendennis organised a ‘superyacht cricket’ match at Lord’s Cricket Ground.
Pendennis in Falmouth, UK is currently hosting three luxury vessels for refit: the 75,2m motor yacht Northern Light, the 65m sailing yacht Adix, as well as the J-Class yacht Lionheart.
One of the two new 90m construction halls at Pendennis is currently hosting the outstanding 65-metre mega yacht ADIX for a comprehensive 8-month winter refit program.
