On Thursday, May 8, 2014, the Superyacht UK and over 80 of its members gathered together at the Pendennis Shipyard and Falmouth area to welcome its new management.
Measuring impressive 90 meters in LOA, superyacht ARCTIC SUN concept is the result of a collaboration of the Swedish designer Dennis Ingemansson with Pendennis shipyard UK and Rolls Royce naval engineering. This superb vessel can comfortably sleep 12 guests.
Phase 1 of the Pendennis yard’s major redevelopment project will be completed this month. Phase 2 is due to be completed in Spring 2015, transforming the UK yard into one of the most impressive facilities in the world.
Pendennis has recently lifted the impressive superyacht Mariette with its new 640-tonne travel hoist. She is presently undergoing some minor works at the UK yard, before participating in this year’s Pendennis Cup.
Luxury sailing yacht M5 (ex Mirabella V) left Pendennis yard in the UK following her extensive refit earlier this year and headed for the South Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
Following the completion of her final fit-out, sail trials and systems testing earlier this year, the remodelled mega yacht M5 (ex Mirabella V) left Pendennis for the South Atlantic and Pacific Oceans in early April 2014.
Yesterday, April 23, was marked by the official opening of the 2014 Antibes Yacht Show. This prestigious event is hosting such outstanding vessels as Azimut 110 charter yacht AVELLA, as well as charter yacht MARI CHA III.
Set to take place in UK’s Falmouth from May 26 to 31, the 2014 Pendennis Cup will feature the Red Arrows display, in order to celebrate the conclusion of an exciting week of racing.
It is a particularly busy period for the Pendennis Palma refit facility. Current projects include such magnificent vessels as sailing yacht Kenora or superyacht Velacarina.
Pendennis Palma is currently hosting the 1972 Feadship classic yacht Heavenly Daze for a second time. She has gone through a RINA and MCA survey and her re-launch is scheduled for the middle of February.
