Pendennis Cup 2012: Day 2 – Luxury yachts Unfurled and Firebrand taking top positions in their class

Racing Day 2 of the 3rd Pendennis Cup saw much lighter as well as changeable winds. At the moment, superyacht Unfurled leads in Class 2, while the overall winner in Class 3 is currently Firebrand yacht.

A closely fought battle was seen on the water during the first day of racing at the 2012 Pendennis Cup, with luxury yacht Mariette of 1915 taking the top position in Class 2, The Pendennis Cup Class, while Mikado yacht is currently leading in Class 3, The Little Dennis Classic Class.

Hoek designed 25.9m sailing yacht VELACARINA by Claasen Shipyards to compete in the Pendennis Cup

At the moment, the 2005 luxury sailing yacht Velacarina by Claasen Jachtbouw is getting ready for this year’s Pendennis Cup, held from July 2 to 7. Designed by well known Andre Hoek, Velacarina is a Truly Classic vessel, boasting beautiful interior made of wood.

Pendennis Cup Superyacht Regatta to be sponsored by Lewmar

Lewmar will be present at this year’s superyacht regattas, including the J Class Regatta as well as the Pendennis Cup. Four spectacular vessels competing in the J Class Regatta, such as luxury charter yacht Ranger and others will be fitted with Lewmar equipment, while the company will act as one of the sponsors in the Pendennis Cup.

A list of thirteen sailing yacht entries has been confirmed to take part in the 2012 Pendennis Cup due to start on at 11:30 am on Tuesday 4th July.

Summary of the second day of the 2010 Pendennis Cup race, is following the dramatic first day. The day 1 results have been modified, with the sailing yacht Mariette being disqualified.

Pendennis Cup 2010 to start on Monday 9th 2010

Less then one week, and the 2nd Pendennis Cup will take off on the 9th August 2010 and will run right through to 14th August. The visitors will have to possibility to see the largest yacht attending, the Pendennis sailing yacht Adela, measuring 55 metres in length over all.
