This year’s GAASTRA Palmavela was marked by the overall victory of the Doyle-powered luxury yacht Bella Mente, taking first place in the MiniMaxi class.
Following her recent launch, the brand new WallyCento superyacht Magic Carpet3 made a spectacular debut at the recently concluded Gaastra Palmavela regatta. This beautiful 100-foot cruiser represents the lightest luxury vessel of this size ever built.
The Swan 60 yacht Bronenosec, from the Yacht Club of Saint Petersburg has made her debut at her first international yacht regatta of 2012 at Mapfre Palma Vela, achieving 7th place in the Overall maxi Combined Class.
Mapfre PalmaVela 2012´s overall winner has become the Audi Azzurra Sailing Team on their TP52 yacht, making her debut in this opening regatta of the 2012 season. The Azzurra team has been followed respectively by Quantum Racing, Ran and Gladiator teams.
Day 3 of the PalmaVela 2012 yacht race saw the fantastic score reached by Audi Azzurra Sailing Team on their TP52 yacht, winning three races. As a result, the team is currently in the lead, ahead of Quantum as well as Ran.
Audi Azzurra sailing team wins the first and third race, and comes third in the second race at the Palma Vela today.
The second day at the Mapfre Palma Vela for the Swan 60 sailing yacht Bronenosec from the Yacht Club od Saint-Petersburg ended with a 6th place in Race 3, followed by the 7th in Race 4.
The new Audi Azzurra Sailing Team sailing yacht TP52 was put into difficult conditions on the first day of her debut race in the Mapfre Palma Vela Regatta thanks to the challenging weather conditions, finishing in third place.
Racing on a new TP52 class yacht designed by Marcelino Botin and already tested this week in Palma de Mallorca, the Audi Azzurra Sailing Team is ready for this year´s racing season. The crew will be the same as the last year, with the addition of pitman David Vera and Juan Pablo Marcos as mid-bow.
The Yacht Club of Saint-Petersburg has announced the launch of the new campaign for the Swan 60 sailing yacht Bronenosec by Nautor’s Swan.
2012 PalmaVela yacht regatta, running from April 18 to 22, in Palma de Mallorca, is expected to welcome 110 entrants from more than 15 countries. The Swan entries, competing under IRC ratings, will race in the Maxi Racer, Mini Maxi as well as ORC classes.
The ninth edition of PalmaVela, running from April 18 to 22, 2012 is the event chosen year after year, by many yacht owners or event organisers to present their new yacht or their new Racing circuits. Such is the case of the TP 52 fleet, now that the Med Cup circuit has been cancelled for this year, will be coordinated by the Class Manager, Rob Weiland in a new circuit.
