This year´s Superyacht Cup Palma has only a few last places available for superyachts wishing to take part in this famous race. The recent entries include such splendid vessels as the last year´s winner, the 24m superyacht Drumfire or the winner of this year´s St Barths Bucket Regatta, the 43m charter yacht This is Us.
Port Adriano´s Mallorca Superyacht Days event was completed on April 30 with great success. Hosted by superyacht marina El Toro and organised by yacht brokers from Palma, this successfull event has welcome 42 superyachts.
Swan yachts, including the Swan 60 sailing yacht Emma, the Yacht Club of St. Petersburg´s Swan 60 yacht Bronenosec, as well as the Swan 80 superyacht Alpina were present at this year´s Mapfre PalmaVela regatta. Emma took 3rd place, Bronenosec came 7th, while Alpina 9th.
The Swan 60 yacht Bronenosec, from the Yacht Club of Saint Petersburg has made her debut at her first international yacht regatta of 2012 at Mapfre Palma Vela, achieving 7th place in the Overall maxi Combined Class.
Mapfre PalmaVela 2012´s overall winner has become the Audi Azzurra Sailing Team on their TP52 yacht, making her debut in this opening regatta of the 2012 season. The Azzurra team has been followed respectively by Quantum Racing, Ran and Gladiator teams.
Day 3 of the PalmaVela 2012 yacht race saw the fantastic score reached by Audi Azzurra Sailing Team on their TP52 yacht, winning three races. As a result, the team is currently in the lead, ahead of Quantum as well as Ran.
The new Audi Azzurra Sailing Team sailing yacht TP52 was put into difficult conditions on the first day of her debut race in the Mapfre Palma Vela Regatta thanks to the challenging weather conditions, finishing in third place.
The Mapfre Palma Vela Regatta marking as debut race for the Russia´s Yacht Club of Saint-Petersburg´s Swan 60 sailing yacht Bronenosec has set quite consistent results with a 5th place in Race One and a 6th place in Race Two in the Mini Maxi Class.
The ninth edition of PalmaVela, running from April 18 to 22, 2012 is the event chosen year after year, by many yacht owners or event organisers to present their new yacht or their new Racing circuits. Such is the case of the TP 52 fleet, now that the Med Cup circuit has been cancelled for this year, will be coordinated by the Class Manager, Rob Weiland in a new circuit.
Programme of the 7th Annual Future of Superyachts Conference, held in Palma de Mallorca in Spain from June 19 to 20, 2012 has been revealed.
