This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Esimit Europa project, started by Igor Simčič in 1995. Since 2010, the project has been represented by one of world’s fastest and technologically most advanced yachts – 100-foot sailing yacht Esimit Europa 2.
For the third consecutive year, the 100ft superyacht Esimit Europa 2 has become the overall winner of the Palermo – Monte Carlo yacht regatta. This spectacular vessel is now preparing to compete in the upcoming Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup, as well as the Rolex Middle Sea Race.
Following a great success reached at the Giraglia Rolex Cup, the 100ft superyacht Esimit Europa 2 is now participating in this year’s 8th edition of the Palermo – Monte Carlo yacht regatta, which started on Saturday 18th August.
Starting on August 18th, the 100ft superyacht Esimit Europa 2 will participate at the 8th edition of the Palermo – Monte Carlo regatta, with the main aim to break the 2010 record.
The 100 foot maxi sailing yacht Esimit Europa 2 was the first to cross the finish line in Monte Carlo, taking line honours in the Palermo-Monte Carlo Race. The crew onboard Esimit Europa 2 completed the 500 nautical mile course in 2 days 52 minutes, breaking the course record by 3 hours 19 minutes.
Palermo to Monte Carlo is the next challenge for the sailing yacht Esimit Europa 2. The yacht will face 26 other top class yachts starting the 500 mile race in the Tyrrhenian Sea on Wednesday 18th August 2010.
