The 4th edition of the Royal Ocean Racing Club’s Caribbean 600 yacht race starting from Antigua on Monday, February 20 will welcome 40 yachts, nearly a quarter of which are yachts coming from the USA.
40 impressive yachts will be competing in this year´s RORC Caribbean 600 race, including Racing Maxis, Supeyachts, Spirit of Tradition and Class 40s. The largest vessel to participate will be the 66m sailing yacht Hetairos.
The 2012 Superyacht Challenge Antigua race starts on 27th January in one of the amazing Caribbean yacht charter destinations, the Nelson´s Dockyard in English Harbour Antigua.
The 4th RORC Caribbean 600 Race looks set to stage a David versus Goliath battle in just over two months with a number of superyachts keen to do battle with each other whilst circumnavigating 11 Caribbean Islands, starting and finishing in Antigua.
The Perini Navi Group is inaugurating the boat shows season at the Monaco Yacht Show (September 21-24) with the world premier of Sailing Yacht Fidelis, a 56m ketch, the tenth yacht in the 56m series and 51st yacht in the Group’s fleet. The Perini Navi Group will also present their 55m Motor Yacht Galileo G, second motor yacht of the Vitruvius® series built by their Picchiotti brand.
Demand is still strong for a place in the fleet of the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta and the diversity exemplified by the substantial entry list of yachts is testament to the first class racing conditions of the Costa Smeralda and the popularity of this annual event.
