As part of the Tara Oceans Polar Circle expedition, sailing yacht Tara crossed the Canadian Northwest Passage on Saturday, September 28, 2013.
As part of the Tara Oceans Polar Circle, expedition yacht Tara is currently about to go through the Northwest Passage. The goal of the expedition is to better understand the region and use its resources in a sustainable manner.
EYOS Expeditions successfully completed the Northwest Passage transit on the 196-metre MV “The World” this summer. The World has thus become the largest unsupported vessel ever to complete the full ocean-to-ocean transit. The World’s transit was the first of two this summer for EYOS Expeditions, followed by voyage aboard the 125-meter Lurssen expedition yacht.
