Dirk Johnson has joined the Perini Navi USA. He will be responsible for the promotion of Picchiotti brand motor yachts. Dirk is an experienced sailor. He has participated at plenty of important regattas as Navigator of such spectacular vessels as charter yacht Andromeda la Dea or luxury charter yacht Parsifal III, both constructed by Perini Navi.
Newport will host the 42nd edition of the Newport International Boat Show, taking place from September 13 to 16, 2012. Around 750 exhibitors with 600 yachts on display will be present.

The overall winner of the 2012 Newport Bucket Regatta has become the 102ft sailing yacht Indio, designed by German Frers and built by Wally. She has also won in her Gazelles class, while Sejaa yacht took first place in the Mademoiselle class. The next year’s regatta will run from August 23 to 25.
The Newport Shipyard is currently preparing for the 10th edition of the Newport Bucket Regatta, kicking off tomorrow. 17 luxury yachts measuring from 72 to 156 feet in length will attend, with the race debut for the 148ft superyacht Lady B by Vitters and Dubois.
