Overmarine Group (Baglietto, Cantieri di Pisa, and Mangusta) was represented at the 26th annual Palm Beach International Boat Show by MarineMax Yacht & Brokerage Group. Running from March 24th to 27th during spectacular weather, thousands of attendees visited the dedicated display featuring the following scale models: Mangusta 92’, 108’ and 148’; and Baglietto 46 Meter.

Commission, in collaboration with UCINA (Italian Marine Industry Association) awarded Sanlorenzo with the Nautical Design Award, recognition that the Italian shipyard distinguished itself by its efforts in promoting the “Made in Italy” brand in the USA.
Overmarine also announced they have entered into a new agreement with MarineMax the world’s largest boat dealer (listed on the New York Stock Exchange symbol HZO). Overmarine Group and MarineMax are starting a new business model that meets the demanding needs of their clients. The Group will be able to strengthen its presence and visibility in the American market with a reliable partner situated in 55 strategic locations providing a clear and direct link with the shipyard.
The Viking display at the Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show featured 14 motor yacht models from 42 to 82 feet and was one of the most visited exhibits with 4,800 registered guests, a 50 percent increase over last year’s totals. Six Vikings were sold, including two 76 Convertible motor yachts, a 70 Convertible, two 60 Convertibles, and a 66 Convertible, a brand new model announced at the show.
Sanlorenzo, the prestigious Italian Shipyard attended the Duesseldorf Boot 2011 and sold two yachts, a SL62 and a SL82, fiberglass planning motor yachts produced in the Ameglia Division. During the Miami Boat Show in America, Sanlorenzo of the Americas sold a SL72 and a SL88 Ameglia planning fleet yachts; in particular the SL88 has been built in a specific American version.

West Marine has announced its second annual “Green Product of the Year” contest. West Marine has a mission to reduce its impact on the environment, and will award a prize of $10,000 to the Official Winner at the 2011 Miami International Boat Show.
