Some unions are meant to be, and when Floating Life was introduced to Dockwise Yacht Transport (DYT) a year and a half ago, it became clear, almost immediately, that this match between two corporate dynamos would be one made in heaven. In the case of transporting Floating Life’s three 131’ (41 meter) Norman Foster-designed motor yachts (motor yacht Ocean Emerald, yacht Ocean Pearl and MY Ocean Sapphire) back and forth between the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, there is no other yacht transport company with which Floating Life would rather involve itself than DYT.
The International Maxi Association (IMA) is pleased to announce the Transatlantic Maxi Yacht Cup, the transoceanic crossing of the Atlantic towards Caribbean at the end of the Mediterranean sailing season will now end in the British Virgin Islands. The 33.9m Classic Sailing yacht Annagine has left for her maiden voyage to the Mediterranean after intensive and successful sea trials on the North Sea. Superyacht Annagine is a 34 metre (111 ft) sailing yacht designed by Dykstra & Partners Naval Architects and built by JOM in Holland.
Preparations are well underway for the 2011 Superyacht Cup regatta from 22-25 June in Palma. So far, 16 yachts have registered for the event including five brand new entries that have never competed in the event before. Space at the Muelle Viejo only allows for a maximum of 20-22 entries.

Superyacht Regina, a 56m Gullet sailing yacht was launched on the 11th of February 2011 by Pruva Yachting of Turkey. Gullet Regina was constructed and completed in 24 months in Pruva Yachting’s shipyard, and is one of two such yachts currently under construction at the yard. S/Y REGINA will be available for luxury charters in both the Mediterranean and Caribbean.
