Asia Boating Awards 2012 revealed its winners on May 10, along with two special awards going to APSA members. Among its winners were such spectacular vessels as the McConaghy trimaran yacht Adastra, as well as the Heesen motor yacht Satori, and many others.
Held on May 10, 2012 the 8th Asia Boating Awards have recently presented its respected nominees. This year´s edition will feature a new category: Best Asian Built Yacht. The superyachts nominated for this prestigious Asian award include for ex. the Amels 212 motor yacht Imagine, the 61m Benetti megayacht Diamonds are Forever, the 60m CRN luxury yacht Darlings Danama and many others.
A builder of the spectacular 140ft trimaran yacht Adastra, McConaghy Boats, has been awarded the “Most Innovative Company” at this year´s China (Shanghai) International Boat Show for the 3rd year running.
McConaghy sailing catamaran yacht MC²60 is a spectacular semi custom high performance catamaran, representing speed, luxury as well as elegance. Described as “one of the world’s most amazing Superyachts”, the Adastra superyacht launched earlier this week at the McConaghy Boats China facility, features stunning interior by Jepsen Design and exterior styling by Orion Shuttleworth Design.
McConaghy Boats has successfully launched its 42.5m luxury trimaran yacht Adastra from its yard in Zhuhai China. This spectacular vessel can easily accommodate 9 guests and a crew of 5-6.
90ft McConaughy Dubois 90 sailing yacht Genuine Risk leads the way at Rolex China Sea Race 2012, trying to break the race record of 47h 43m 7s, with 366 nautical miles left (as of 6:00 AEST).

McConaghy was approached eighteen months ago to assist the explorer-filmmaker James Cameron and his engineering partner, Ron Allum, with the complex construction of the DEEPSEA CHALLENGER submersible, a submarine capable of diving to the bottom of the Mariana Trench in the Western Pacific, eleven kilometres down at the deepest part of the worlds oceans – with Cameron himself onboard as sole pilot.
Thomas Coville has been chosen by McConaghy Boats and the architect Renaud Banuls to become a new Technical Advisor of the sailing catamaran yacht MC²60.
