Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta 2013: Day 1 – Victory of charter yachts SALPERTON and PARSIFAL III

The first day of the 2013 Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta and Rendezvous saw the victory of luxury charter yachts Salperton and Parsifal III.

Loro Piana is the title sponsor of the “Caribbean Superyacht Regatta and Rendezvous” for the second consecutive year. The 2013 edition will also see the all-new Loro Piana Superyacht Trophy, starting on March 25.

The eagerly awaited Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta and Rendezvous 2013 will kick off tomorrow, to be attended by 20 sailing yachts and 7 motor yachts, hosted by the prominent Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in the popular Caribbean yacht charter destination – Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands.

Perini Navi to sponsor 2013 Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta and St Barths Bucket

The prominent Italian builder, Perini Navi Group, will once again sponsor the major Caribbean regattas: the Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous as well as the St Barths Bucket Regatta. A total number of 9 Perini Navi vessels will compete, including the majestic charter yacht Maltese Falcon.

Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous 2013 to host impressive number of yachts

This year’s Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous will host an impressive number of luxury vessels. So far, 21 sailing yachts and 6 motor yachts have registered, including such spectacular vessels as the 56 m Perini Navi charter yacht Phantalassa.

International Super Yacht Rule adopted by Yacht Club Costa Smeralda

In order to offer close competing in fleets of superyachts widely differing designs, dimensions as well as technical characteristics, the next year’s Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht & Rendezvous and the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta will feature the International Super Yacht Rule.

Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta’s Silver Jubilee Cup for Dubois designed 39m Fitzroy charter yacht Ganesha (ex Zulu II)

Delivered by Fitzroy Yachts in 2006 and designed by renowned Dubois Naval Architects, the 39m luxury charter yacht Ganesha (ex Zulu II) has received the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta’s Silver Jubilee Cup, along with prizes as Top Scored Boat over 31m in the Cruising Division, Top Scored Boat Owned by a YCCS Member, and Fitzroy’s trophy for Best Classified Fitzroy Yacht.

The overall winners of the 2012 Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta have become the 39m luxury charter yacht Ganesha in the Cruising Division and the 25.3m sailing yacht Highland Fling in the Performance Division.

Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta 2012: Day 4 – No change on the leaderboard

The leaderboard after Day 4 of this year’s Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta remains untouched, with superyacht Scorpione dei Mari leading in the Cruising Class and superyacht Highland Fling taking the top position in the Performance Division.

Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta 2012: Day 3 – Luxury yacht Highland Fling remains at the top

With the Cruising Division on lay day on Day 3 of the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta 2012, the Performance Division continues to be led by the superyacht Highland Fling, followed by Aegir, My Song and Alpina, respectively.

The 25m luxury yacht Highland Fling continues to dominate in the Performance division of the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta 2012 after day 2, followed by Aegir and My Song respectively. In the Cruising division, the 29m superyacht Scorpione dei Mari built by Jongert takes the first place, with charter yacht Ganesha in the second place and KibokoDos in the third place.

Day 1 of the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta 2012 saw the 25m superyacht Highland Fling take the top spot in the Performance class, followed by My Song and Aegir respectively, while the Cruising division was won by the 38.8m charter yacht Ganesha, with the 37m luxury charter yacht Moonbird taking the second place and the 29m Scorpione dei Mari placing third.
