This year’s Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous will host an impressive number of luxury vessels. So far, 21 sailing yachts and 6 motor yachts have registered, including such spectacular vessels as the 56 m Perini Navi charter yacht Phantalassa.

International Super Yacht Rule adopted by Yacht Club Costa Smeralda

In order to offer close competing in fleets of superyachts widely differing designs, dimensions as well as technical characteristics, the next year’s Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht & Rendezvous and the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta will feature the International Super Yacht Rule.

Dubois-designed superyachts performing exceptionally well at this year´s yacht regattas

Luxurious vessels designed by renowned UK-based studio, Dubois Naval Architects, have performed very well at this year´s regattas, including the 2012 NZ Millennium Cup, won by the 34m superyacht Silvertip, followed by the Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta and Rendezvous as well as St. Barths Bucket. Four Dubois designs are expected to compete in the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta and the Palma Superyacht Cup this summer.

Perini Navi 38m charter yacht P2 comes third at the 2012 Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta. The thirteen participating yachts arrived in the following order: Indio, Hanuman, P2, Sojana, Firefly, Salperton, Bliss, Ganesha, Marie, Zefira, Billy Budd, Lady B and Altair.

The second edition of the Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous, running from March 14 to 17, 2012 in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) is hosted by Victor International, Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (YCCS) as well as Boat International Media, bringing together the world’s yacht enthusiasts to take advantage of the best cruising waters in the Caribbean.
