New Zealand-based refit shipyard, Oceania Marine, is currently working on the refit of the 2011 super yacht Black Pearl. She will receive a hull repaint in her beautiful metallic grey and minor coating repairs on the superstructure, as well as general maintenance works.
The newly formed Echo Yachts, founded by a Singaporean family and based in Western Australia, is to built an 84m tri-hull superyacht and a 46m support vessel. The superyacht’s exterior design and interior styling will be created by renowned Sam Sorgiovanni.
The well attended motor yacht Black Pearl christening and official handover took place on January 22 in Auckland New Zealand. The relaxed gathering was held at Auckland’s viaduct, overlooking the vessel and alongside her on the pier. A very common theme in speeches and discussions was the very high standard of finish and quality throughout this stunning vessel.
The 31.5m luxury motor yacht BLACK PEARL (Build Project 08) by Diverse Projects and LOMOcean Design with an interior designed by Chris Connell was launched in Whangarei, New Zealand on the 29th of December 2010. M/Y Black Pearl is the largest yacht ever built by the New Zealand yard Diverse Projects.

The MS TÛRANOR PlanetSolar catamaran has reached the Canary Islands, 21 days after leaving Monaco at the start of the 1st solar boat expedition to circumnavigate the world by boat solely powered by solar energy. MS TÛRANOR PlanetSolar will stay at Gran Canaria for maintenance till Friday.
