Having worked as Secretery of the J Class Association for the last 12 years, David Pitman now retires. He helped develop, construct and launch four J Class yachts, including charter yacht Ranger in 2002, luxury yacht Hanuman in 2009, Lionheart superyacht in 2010 as well as superyacht Rainbow in 2012.
Saturday 21 July saw the 2012 J Class Solent Regatta – Hundered Guinea Cup, attended by the spectacular J Class yachts. The overall winner has become sailing yacht Lionheart, followed by superyacht Velsheda, charter yacht Ranger and Rainbow superyacht, respectively.
The overall winner of this year’s J Class Regatta in the Solent has become the luxury sailing yacht Velsheda, followed by charter yacht Ranger, superyacht Lionheart and luxury yacht Rainbow, respectively.
Day 2 of the J Class Solent Regatta saw a very close racing of the J Class yachts. In the end, the overall winner has become superyacht Velsheda, winning by just 5 seconds, followed by Lionheart, Rainbow and Ranger, respectively.
Following the recent J Class Regatta in Falmouth, the four luxury vessels participating in this popular race, comprising charter yacht Ranger, luxury yacht Lionheart, Rainbow superyacht as well as sailing yacht Velsheda now moved to the Solent, facing challenging weather conditions on the first day of racing. Charter yacht Ranger is currently taking the leading position.
The overall winner of the 2012 J Class Regatta in Falmouth has become the luxury charter yacht Ranger, followed by superyachts Velsheda and Lionheart, respectively. The J Class beauties are now getting ready to compete in the upcoming J Class Solent Regatta, starting on July 18.
After Day 3 of the J Class Regatta 2012 in Falmouth, sailing yacht Velsheda has once again confirmed her leading position, followed by charter yacht Ranger, taking second place and Lionheart superyacht, placing third.
Day 2 of the J Class Regatta 2012 in Falmouth finished with a great success for sailing yacht Velsheda, followed by charter yacht Ranger and Lionheart superyacht, respectively.
The first race of the J Class Regatta 2012 in Falmouth started with a delay caused by fog, with luxury charter yacht Ranger, currently taking the first place. She is followed by superyachts Velsheda and Rainbow, respectively.
Sunday saw the beginning of the practice for four luxury vessels, participating in this year’s J Class Regatta. These comprise charter yacht Ranger, sailing yacht Lionheart, luxury yacht Rainbow as well as superyacht Velsheda.
Lewmar will be present at this year’s superyacht regattas, including the J Class Regatta as well as the Pendennis Cup. Four spectacular vessels competing in the J Class Regatta, such as luxury charter yacht Ranger and others will be fitted with Lewmar equipment, while the company will act as one of the sponsors in the Pendennis Cup.
The prominent Dutch superyacht builder, Claasen Shipyards, has recently joined the Holland Yacht Experience’s joint venture in order to futher develop its services on Port Pierre Canto in Cote d’Azur, France.
