This year’s eagerly awaited Les Voiles de Saint Barth has successfully kicked off at Gustavia Harbor this morning. The spectacular Swan 100 superyacht Varsovie is competing in the Maxi class.
The eagerly awaited racing at the 2013 Les Voiled de Saint Barth will kick off tomorrow, on April 9. At the moment, more than 60 luxury yachts and crew are preparing to participate in this popular Caribbean race. The largest vessel to compete will be the Swan 100 superyacht Varsovie.
Set to kick off next Monday, the eagerly awaited Voiles de St. Barth 2013 will be attended by a total number of 65 luxury yachts.

Set to run from April 8 to 13, this year’s 4th edition of Les Voiles de St Barth will be hosting the luxury vessels built by renowned Nautor’s Swan, including the 100-foot superyacht Varsovie. Registrations to compete are open until April 8.

On the final day of this year´s Les Voiles de St. Barth crews were again tested with light as well as variable winds. But with first place still in play in more than half the classes going into the final race, there was plenty of incentive to maintain concentration.
Today the Les Voiles de St. Barth sailors competed in the famous round-the-island race. At the start off Gustavia, an eight to ten knot southeasterly helped send the seven classes off the line. Around the southern end, out of the lee of the island, boats encountered more breeze and bigger swells. Added to that, several rain squalls brought more wind as well, with boats experiencing 20-25 knots in the passing showers.
Les Voiles de St. Barth sailors today enjoyed a lay day before the final two days of racing on Friday and Saturday. Racing continues tomorrow with the first warning signal scheduled for 11am, for the seven classes competing.
There was a better breeze today at the Les Voiles de St. Barth yacht race, with a layday for competitors tomorrow and a full day of activities planned at Nikki Beach. Racing continues on Friday, with two races planned and a first start at 11:00am.
