Oyster Yachts will once again participate in the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC), set to start on November 23, 2014. The company will be present with an impressive fleet of 13 yachts, including the Oyster 825 superyacht Reina.
The world’s largest solar boat, PlanetSolar, has set a new world record for a solar-powered transatlantic crossing. Having left Las Palmas in Spain on April 25, PlanetSolar reached St. Martin in French West Indies on May 18.
November 12 saw a joint departure of 12 Oyster yachts from Gran Canaria in order to take part in the Oyster World Rally that will kick off in Antigua on January 6. The record number of 39 Oyster yachts will participate in this 2700 mile transatlantic race.

The 25th ARC finished in fine style on Saturday 18 December with a spectacular awards ceremony at the Gaiety Nightclub in Gros Islet, near Rodney Bay Marina, Saint Lucia. After a slow start, 217 yachts had finished by the prize giving, with the remainder due to arrive over the next few days.
