Monaco Marine’s La Ciotat shipyard is currently working on a major refit of the 50m Heesen super yacht SKY, scheduled for completion in April 2015. The refit includes the exterior makeover, full paint job of the hull and superstructure, the yacht’s 5-year survey, interior refit, as well as overhaul of the main engines and generators.
Work on Alewijnse’s latest permanent superyacht refit and servicing subsidiary at La Ciotat in France is progressing rapidly. It will open for business soon.
Marine Results has experienced important expansion in the past two to three years, as the world’s superyacht fleet continues to expand. This is reflected in the number of riggers now employed by the company.
Alewijnse’s new superyacht refit and servicing subsidiary will be located at Chantiers Naval at La Ciotat, France, representing the largest superyacht refit yard in the South of France. The new office will be fully operational by the end of the year.

Today, March 26, marks the start of the 2013 solar campaign for the MS Tûranor PlanetSolar, the world’s largest solar boat.
The largest solar boat ever built, the MS Tûranor PlanetSolar was successfully re-launched in La Ciotat today, following over 6 months of maintenance and optimization. Its 2013 solar campaign will be officially launched in Monaco on March 18.
It is a very busy period for the Monaco Marine shipyard in La Ciotat, with 18 yachts on site. These include such spectacular vessels as the 74m mega yacht Ilona.
