February 18, 2015, in Cape Town, South Africa, saw Southern Wind launch the third SW94 super yacht LADY G, superbly penned by Reichel Pugh and Nauta Design. She will make her world premiere at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show in September.
The brand new Southern Wind 94 sailing yacht LADY G (hull # 3) was launched by Southern Wind in Cape Town earlier this week. This lovely racer cruiser boasts naval architecture by Reichel/Pugh Yacht Design.
Superbly penned by Nauta Design from Italy, the Southern Wind 94 super yacht Kiboko has received an Honourable Mention in the 23rd edition of the ADI (Association for Industrial Design) Compasso D’Oro Design Awards.
Designed by Nauta Design and Reichel Pugh Yacht Design, the Southern Wind 94 superyacht Kiboko has been shortlisted for the ADI Compasso D’ Oro Award in the ‘Design for Environments’ category.
This month’s Monaco Yacht Show will be marked by the world debut of two Southern Wind luxury vessels: the SW102 n°02 sailing yacht HEVEA, as well as the SW94 n°02 superyacht WINDFALL. The company has also become the first yard to have achieved the RINA RIG certification.
Two spectacular vessels built by Southern Wind Shipyard will be racing in this year’s Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta: the SW94 sailing yacht Windfall and the SW100 superyacht Cape Arrow. The event will run in the lovely Italian yacht charter location – Sardinia’s Porto Cervo, from June 4 to 8, 2013.
Taking place in the breathtaking setting of the La Maddalena Archipelago in Sardinia, Italy, the Southern Wind Shipyard Trophy is a challenging coastal regatta, due to start on the 4th of June and run for five days.
Nautical Design Awards have been announced to 10 winners on the 20th of October in Milan. The winners include such stunning yachts as the sailing yacht Zafira, 42m Vintage superyacht by Codecasa and the Ferretti Custom Line 124 yacht.

The third SW 100 RS Sailing Yacht CAPE ARROW was launched by Southern Wind in Cape Town on the 22nd of April 2011 after few days of delay due to an exceptional strong wind, which did not allow a safe transportation from the yard to the harbour. The SW 100 RS hull n° 3 CAPE ARROW will leave Cape Town to the Mediterranean in approximately one month after the usual sea and systems trials.
