Danish Yachts hosted two Royal visits within a week in August 2013: Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark as well as Royal VIP guests to both the yard and its sister hotel ‘Ruth’s Hotel’. In addition, the impressive 125m mega yacht Katara was berthed outside the shipyard.
Yacht KATARA is a Lurssen built 124.4 metre (408’14”) superyacht with naval architecture designed by the Lurssen in-house naval architects, and exterior design by the celebrated design team Espen Oeino International based in Monaco. The pictures shown of the Lurrsen yacht KATARA depicts her cruising into the harbour of the idyllic island of St Martin in the Caribbean, on the 22nd of February. 2010 has been a great year for new superyacht launches. Included in the top ten motor yachts launched this year is the 134 metre motoryacht Serene, the largest yacht ever built in Italy, the 85.6m MegaYacht Cakewalk by Derecktor – The Largest in USA History and 3 motor yachts by the superyacht builder in Lurssen including the 85.2m yacht PACIFIC, 87.2m motor yacht Phoenix 2 and 124.4m M/Y KATARA.
Lürssen shipyard launched the 68m superyacht Hermitage. The 2010 Lürssen motor yacht Hermitage was designed by Espen Oeino and features an Andrew Winch designed interior.

It has been announced recently, that the important motor yacht Crystal by Lurssen has now been named SuperYacht KATARA. There is only little known about this exciting mega yacht, however CharterWorld is eagerly awaiting any news and will publish them together with images as soon as they are available.
