Today, Wednesday, January 8, at the London Boat Show saw the Cowes-based Island Sailing Club (ISC) announce the J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s continuation of its Race title sponsorship up to and including 2016.
This year’s J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race will officially start tomorrow, on June 1. Today, May 31, saw the pre-Race press conference at the Island Sailing club in Cowes, UK.
Set to kick off on June 1, this year’s JP Mogan Round the Island Race will be once again attended by the impressive 100-foot charter yacht ICAP Leopard. She will also compete in the Rolex Fastnet Race, running this August.
Set to kick off on June 1, the upcoming J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race announces the participation of top sailors as well as race partners. The Mike Slade’s luxury charter yacht ICAP Leopard will be also present.
To be hosted by Portsmouth Harbour Yacht Club at Port Solent in Hampshire, the management team of J.P. Morgan Assett Management Round the Island Race will hold its first FREE Forum, to be held on March 23.
The J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race launched its 2013 Twitter campaign using the new hashtag #raceforall on the first day of the 2013 London Boat Show. Thanks to tweeting using the hash tag #raceforall, the funds for the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust charity can be raised.
J.P. Morgan Asset Management has confirmed that they will continue its sponsorship of the Round the Island Race for a further two years, through to 2014. The 2013 edition of this popular race will kick off on June 1.
The 2012 J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race yachts gradually complete the race, with around 400 teams still competing. The largest yacht ever competing in this popular race, the 162ft luxury yacht Eleonora E (ex Eleonora), took 47th place in IRC 0 class.
Hosted by the Island Sailing Club, the 81st J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race prizegiving rewarded charter yacht ICAP Leopard with Observer Trophy, while Gold Roman Bowl went to Manroland Sheetfed yacht and Silver Roman Bowl to Sundowner yacht.
With the official prizegiving taking place at the Island Sailing Club on Sunday 1 July, the 81st J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race has unveiled its winners. The prominent Gold Roman Bowl for first boat overall on IRC handicap went to Tony Langley’s TP52 sailing yacht Manroland Sheetfed. Charter yacht ICAP Leopard completed the race in 03hrs, 59mins and 04secs.
