Yesterday, September 2, saw the first day of racing at the 2013 Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup. Day 1 winners have become: sailing yacht Alegre in the Mini Maxi Rolex World Championship; superyacht Velsheda in J-Class; sailing yacht Highland Fling in Maxi; luxury yacht Altair in Maxi Racing/Cruising; superyacht Nilaya in Supermaxi and J-One in Wally.
The highly anticipated Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup 2013 is set to commence today, on September 2, 2013. A total number of 37 maxi yachts will be participating in this popular event. The largest attending yacht is the 157-foot superyacht Nativa.
The next 24th edition of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup is set to kick off on September 1, being hosted by the spectacular Italian yacht charter location – Porto Cervo in Sardinia.
The next Monaco Yacht Show will feature two luxury vessels by Holland Jachtbouw: the Bill Dixon-designed charter yacht YII, as well as the J-Class yacht Rainbow.
It has been a great success for the Hoek Design yachts at this year’s Superyacht Cup Palma, also sponsored by this prominent Dutch design studio. The first place overall in the SYC class 2 went to Heartbeat yacht.
A spectacular fleet of Danish Yachts has attended the recently concluded Superyacht Cup Palma. These included the J Class charter yacht Ranger, motor yacht Shooting Star, the carbon fibre-built yacht Aerocruiser 38m, as well as the recently launched carbon fibre-built sailing yacht Infiniti 36.
The prominent Dutch luxury yacht builder, Holland Jachtbouw, was honoured with ShowBoats Design Award 2013 for the J-Class superyacht Rainbow’s Hybrid Power and Propulsion System.
It was a very successful edition of the Superyacht Cup Palma for four Claasen superyachts, including the majestic J Class yacht Lionheart, the Truly Classic 78 yacht Heartbeat, charter yacht Atalante, as well as superyacht Firefly.
Refitted by Yachting Developments, the spectacular J Class yacht Endeavour won the accolade of ‘Best Refitted Sailing Yacht’ at the World Superyacht Awards 2013. She boasts lovely interior design by Adam Lay Studio.
Dykstra Naval Architects have won two ShowBoats Design Awards 2013 for the 40m J Class yacht Rainbow, as well as the 51m Spirit of Tradition superyacht Kamaxitha.
The recently concluded Superyacht Cup Palma was another great success. The event was attended by the spectacular fleet of 20 superyachts.
