Rob Humphreys of Humphrey Yacht Designs’ latest project, the Tempus Class, is a commission from the owner of Arkin Pruva Yachts inspired by a J class hull that has evolved to become a cruising and charter friendly yacht.

Following the completion of her hull, the J-class sailing yacht Rainbow has now been transported to Holland Jachtbouw for further construction. The original Rainbow yacht dates back to 1934 and was designed by William Starling Burgess. Today’s Rainbow sailing yacht is based on this original yacht, redesigned by Dykstra & Partners Naval Architects.
On Monday the 19th of July 2010, the J Class superyacht RAINBOW JH2 was transported by barge to Holland Jachtbouw in Zaandam, where she will be fitted out with a launch expected in early 2012.
The J Class sailing yacht Lionheart incorporates two small separate deckhouses and cockpits – one of which is designed especially for the yacht’s owner and guests. This feature gives extra versatility for both racing or cruising the superyacht.
