UKI Design’s 42m superyacht concept called Blue Navy is a 42m vessel with a sleek modern displacement hull with aggressive lines and a bulbous bow. Her bold exterior lines and shapes were further enhanced by the choice of using vertical side windows which also add natural light and a sense of space to her interior. Her Naval architecture as well as styling is by UKI Design.
Rossinavi 74 is a 74m superyacht project to be built by the Italian yacht builder Rossi Navi. The new 74m Rosi Navi mega yacht features Naval Architecture by Giovanni Arrabito with exterior and interior styling and design by Team 4 Design. The 74m Rosi Navi yacht boasts a helipad and could be available 36 months from signature of contract.

Nestlé Nespresso S.A and Wally Yachts, the world leader in yachting innovation, have announced the second edition of the Nespresso Cup, the international regatta exclusively for the Wally Class, taking place in Portofino in May 2011. The announcement was made together with Luca Bassani Antivari, President and Founder of Wally, and Nespresso Cup Ambassador and sailing legend Francesco de Angelis at the Yacht Club Italiano’s press conference which presented this season’s regattas.
Mr. Basile (CEO Ferretti Group) received the UIM Environmental Award during the gala dinner held on February 26 in Principality of Monaco. The International Environmental Award 2011 has been conferred to Long Range 23 of Mochi Craft, a Ferretti Group brand producing fiberglass motoryachts ranging from 13 to 23 meters.

Superyacht Aifos, the CBI 50 was successfully launched on the 28th of February 2011, in Viareggio at Fipa Group shipyard. Luxury yacht Aifos was designed by Architect Vafiadis, engineered by Hydro Tec and by Cbi Navi technical dept., and built entirely in Viareggio by Cbi Navi shipyard, a worldwide leader in the construction of custom superyachts and real one-off vessels made of steel and/or aluminum.
Two 48.40 Sloops with naval architecture by Tripp Design are currently in build at the Italian Arzana Navi Yard. The 48m sailing yachts were developed based on in-depth market analysis, which revealed an underexploited segment of the superyacht market; that of owners desiring the amenities of a powerboat together with the excitement of a modern sailing yacht.
Aquariva Gucci received acknowledgement from the Nautical Design Awards panel of judges during a gala evening in Miami on 18th February organised by Yacht & Sail and ADI (Associazione per il Disegno Industriale – Association for Industrial Design). The exclusive model, created as a result of the partnership between Riva, Ferretti Group brand, and Gucci, was celebrated as a highly successful project developed through the working relationship between two historical Italian brands.
Positive results for the ninth year of Seatec, held this year together with Compotec, the third International exhibition for composites and related technologies: 780 brands present overall (including 269 foreigners) compared to 753 in 2010; the total number of visitors from the industry up by 5%, that is 9,203 this year. 32.000 square metres of covered area occupied, over 40 side events in three days, a success that reconfirms Seatec’s and Compotec’s position among the top international trade fairs.
