Sailing yacht Esimit Europa 2 finishes the course of La Maddalena in Sardina in 2:32:01 in the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup regatta.
Competing started again on Racing Day 3 of the 2012 Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup. Bella Mente yacht won in both races in the Mini Maxi Rolex World Championship, Esimit Europa 2 superyacht in Maxi Racing, sailing yacht Altair in Maxi Racing/Cruising, Nilaya in Supermaxi as well as Open Season in Wally.
The second day of racing in the 2012 Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup was marked by the strong Sardinian storm, due to which the race had to been called off.
Racing Day 1 near 29-nautical mile coastal race of the 2012 Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup has been won by sailing yacht Ran 2 in the Mini Maxi Rolex World Championship; superyacht Velsheda in Maxi Racing; luxury yacht Aegir in Maxi Racing/Cruising; superyacht Nilaya in Supermaxi and sailing yacht Magic Carpet 2 in Wally. The fastest vessel to complete the course was superyacht Esimit Europa 2.
Following a great success achieved at the Giraglia Rolex Cup, the Monaco – Porto Cervo regatta, as well as the Palermo – Monte Carlo regatta, the 100ft luxury yacht Esimit Europa 2 is currently competing in the 2012 Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup, starting today.
The total number of 34 spectacular maxi yachts have kicked off the 23rd Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup today. These include the largest vessel to compete, the 66m megayacht Hetairos.

Nautor´s Swan and the International Maxi Association (IMA) have announced the formalisation of their relationship. The IMA, established in 1979 and recognized as an ISAF class in November 2009, is open to yachts with a minimum lenght of 18.29m.

The International Maxi Association (IMA) is pleased to announce the Transatlantic Maxi Yacht Cup, the transoceanic crossing of the Atlantic towards Caribbean at the end of the Mediterranean sailing season will now end in the British Virgin Islands. Simultaneously the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda will organize a new event starting on the same day: the Transatlantic Superyacht Regatta, reserved to maxi boats with LOA upper than 30.51, boats more cruising than racing-oriented.
