The 25th edition of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup held in Mediterranean’s Costa Smeralda in Italy has seen new class championships announced, following the final verdicts on the water delivered during today’s exhilarating and decisive race.
The Mini Maxi Rolex World Championship is proving to be the tightest and most competitive race in its five-year history.

Yesterday, September 3, 2014, was marked by Day 3 of the currently running Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup. In the Supermaxi Class, luxury yacht Firefly leads, going into the second half of the competition, but only by one point from Inoui yacht.
A fleet of Maxi yachts participating in the currently running Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup enjoyed clear skies and a fresh mistral breeze on Day 2. The J-Class leader is presently superyacht Rainbow.
This year’s Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup is set to kick off in the lovely Sardinia yacht holiday location – Porto Cervo today, on September 1. The largest vessel to attend will be the 43,7m (143′) J Class superyacht Lionheart.
Preparations for the 2014 Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup and the 2014 Rolex Swan Cup are in full swing at the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (YCCS). Both September Rolex Regattas will be accompanied by the usual array of exclusive social events.
Two magnificent perpetual trophies will be awarded to winners of the Royal Ocean Racing Club’s very first Transatlantic Race. The race will kick off from Lanzarote on November 29, 2014.
To be hosted by the lovely Sardinia yacht holiday destination – Porto Cervo from August 31 to September 6, this year’s Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup will kick off in less than two months. The popular Mediterranean regatta will be attended by such outstanding vessels as 100ft superyacht Esimit Europa 2 and the 216ft mega yacht Hetairos.
The winners of this year’s Rolex Capri Sailing Week have become luxury yacht Robertissima III (GBR) in Mini Maxi Racing, sailing yacht Good Job Guys (ITA) in Mini Maxi Racing/Cruising and sailing yacht Azzurra (ITA) in TP52.
The race committee of the Rolex Capri Sailing Week 2014 was forced to abandon today’s coastal race, when the fleet ran out of wind off Capri’s breath-taking coastline.
This year’s 10th edition of the Rolex Capri Sailing Week is set to start tomorrow, on May 19, ith the Volcano Race. This will be attended by 12 Maxi yachts, including the 100-foot superyacht Esimit Europa 2.
