The Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show has provided a glimpse of top 10 largest vessels to be displayed at next month’s event. These include such beautiful vessels as the 164ft Coauch charter yacht La Pellegrina.
The leading Dutch maker, Amels, has recently launched its third Limited Edition 212 superyacht Hull 6503. Designed by Tim Heywood, she has already undergone sea trials.
Being a nice example of how the ecological impact of superyachts can be reduced, the 65.5m Amels 212 motor yacht IMAGINE has become the first luxury vessel in the world to receive the ‘Green Passport’ from Lloyds Register.
Held on May 10, 2012 the 8th Asia Boating Awards have recently presented its respected nominees. This year´s edition will feature a new category: Best Asian Built Yacht. The superyachts nominated for this prestigious Asian award include for ex. the Amels 212 motor yacht Imagine, the 61m Benetti megayacht Diamonds are Forever, the 60m CRN luxury yacht Darlings Danama and many others.
Meeting all the requirements for the Lloyd´s Register Green Passport, the 65.5m Amels 212 megayacht IMAGINE will become the world´s first superyacht to be given an honour to receive it.
Five superyachts by Amels are due to be delivered this spring, including two Amels 180, one of which is the motor yachts Step One and one Amels 212 – the Imagine superyacht, in addition to two extensive refits of existing Amels vessels. Amels has now become the largest superyacht builder in the Netherlands.
Superyacht Design Summit 2012, which will be held at Chelsea Design Centre’s SPACE on the evening of Tuesday 13 March and will be attended by Superyacht designers: Andrew Winch, Terence Disdale as well as Tim Heywood, has now sold out. And it has now been confirmed that Dick Bannenberg, the son of the late Jon Bannenberg, who presided over the fledgling careers of all three designers will be one of the delegates in attendance.
