Prometheus Marine will display a Sunreef 62 in May in Singapore and Multihulls Solutions from Australia is getting ready for the Sydney and Auckland boat shows.
Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club has issued the Notice of Race and Entry Form for the 17th edition of the biennial San Fernando Race, which will depart from Hong Kong on 20 April bound for the destination of San Fernando in the northern Philippines, 480nm away.
Launched in August 2010 by SunreefYachts, the first Sunreef 62 Sailing (hull 33) was successfully delivered to her owner in Hong Kong two months later. The yacht was exhibited at the Shenzhen International Boat Show (SIBEX) in November 2010, after which she cruised to her final destination – the Hainan Island.
Pearl Motor Yachts has announced its worldwide expansion with the appointment of its first dealership in Asia. Ocean Bright Marine will promote Pearl’s range comprising the hugely successful Pearl 60, the new contemporary styled Pearl 50 and the new flagship Pearl 75 which is due to launch early next year.
The World Sailing Teams Association, together with Louis Vuitton and the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, has announced that preparations for the proposed Louis Vuitton Trophy Hong Kong in January 2011 have ceased. The Dubai event, held in November 2010, will be the “last regatta.”
The first award of the night, for Best Asian Motor Yacht Builder (81 feet and up), went to Hong Kong-based superyacht builder Kingship, whose production facilities are in Zhongshan. Kingship founder and CEO Roger Liang, a native Hong Kong yacht builder who made waves at the last Monaco Yacht Show with his 138-foot Green Voyager superyacht design, collected the award in person.
