Taking place from June 19th to 22nd, the 2013 Superyacht Cup Palma will be attended by such beautiful J Class yachts as charter yacht Range, Velsheda, Rainbow, as well as Lionheart, in addition to megayacht Athos and Firefly.
Scheduled for launch in 2013, the splendid J-Class superyacht J8 was originally designed by Frank Paine in 1935. She now boasts design by Hoek optimised for the modern handicap rules of the JCA. Her hull has been already completed and is ready for the final stage of construction at Holland Jachtbouw.
Two luxury vessels, including a 47m Hoek sailing yacht as well as a 45m Dixon yacht to be constructed at Holland Yachtbouw, will boast the newly designed winches by Lewmar.

This year’s Monaco Yacht Show will be attended by the respected Dutch studio, Hoek Design. They will show a variety of their newest projects, including a 46 meter Pilot Classic Ketch and a 47 meter Classic Sloop, presently under construction at Royal Huisman in The Netherlands.
Lewmar and Navtec have commissioned their products on two, newly launched sloops: the classic Hoek-designed 108ft superyacht Simba as well as the 33,5m modern yacht Music, a sistership to Jazz Junior yacht, constructed by the Turkish builder Soyaslan Yard.
The legendary Kings Hundred Guinea Cup went to the Claasen Jachtbouw built and Andre Hoek designed superyacht Lionheart, participating in this year’s J Class Regatta in the Solent. This splendid vessel competed along with other beautiful J Class yachts, including Velsheda superyacht, charter yacht Ranger as well as luxury yacht Rainbow.
At the moment, the 2005 luxury sailing yacht Velacarina by Claasen Jachtbouw is getting ready for this year’s Pendennis Cup, held from July 2 to 7. Designed by well known Andre Hoek, Velacarina is a Truly Classic vessel, boasting beautiful interior made of wood.
Lewmar will be present at this year’s superyacht regattas, including the J Class Regatta as well as the Pendennis Cup. Four spectacular vessels competing in the J Class Regatta, such as luxury charter yacht Ranger and others will be fitted with Lewmar equipment, while the company will act as one of the sponsors in the Pendennis Cup.
This year’s Superyacht Cup Palma started with perfect weather conditions. Class 1 is currently led by the 34m charter yacht Highland Breeze, built by Nautor Swan and designed by Frers, while the current winner of Class 2 is the 30m luxury yacht Reesle, designed by Hoek.
This year´s Superyacht Cup Palma has only a few last places available for superyachts wishing to take part in this famous race.
