Two spectacular vessels, including the 2011 Pendennis superyacht Hemisphere as well as the 1972 Feadship luxury yacht Heavenly Daze refitted by Pendennis in 2011/12, have been confirmed as nominated for this year’s ISS Design and Leadership Awards.
The 2012 ISS Design Awards finalist have been announced today, with the winners to be announced on the 25th October at the ISS’s annual International Design Awards Gala.
Pendennis Palma is celebrating its first anniversary. This successful refit facility based at STP in Palma de Mallorca has already completed over 10 refits. These include charter yachts Nostromo and Andromeda La Dea, as well as superyacht Gloria by Jongert. From October 2012, the company will also start working on the 1928 classic motor yacht Fair Lady.
Pendennis will attend the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show with four luxury vessels on display. These include the 55m superyacht Phantom, the 44m catamaran yacht Hemisphere, the 42m sailing yacht Rebecca, as well as the 96m megayacht Vava II.
For the 10th year running, the prominent UK-based linen company Heirlooms Ltd will be present at the 2012 Monaco Yacht Show. The company have supplied its exclusive linen to such spectacular vessels as luxury yacht Excellence V, superyacht Nirvana, sailing yacht Maltese Falcon and many others.
The spectacular sailing catamaran Hemisphere, built by the prestigious UK shipyard Pendennis, with interior design by Michael Leach and Naval Architecture by VPLP, has won two important awards at the 2012 ShowBoats Design Awards. Hemisphere is a joint winner of the Sailing Yacht Interior Design as well as Interior Layout category.
Boasting great success, the Pendennis Palma refit facility is currently busy with two refits, comprising the superyacht Tugatsu and the luxury charter yacht Nostromo. This winter, the successful company is also believed to begin works on the catamaran yacht Hemisphere.
Winners of the 7th edition of the World Superyacht Awards were unveiled on May 5 in Istanbul, Turkey. The Motor Yacht of the Year has become the 77.7m Feadship superyacht Tango, while the Sailing Yacht of the Year award has been received by the 67.2m Alloy megayacht Vertigo.
