Saturday, October 18, was marked by the record start of the 2014 Rolex Middle Sea Race, attended by an impressive fleet of 122 yachts. The favoured candidate for the line honours victory is the 100-foot Maxi yacht Esimit Europa 2.
This year’s 35th edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race will kick off from Grand Harbour, a lovely Malta yacht rental location, on October 18, and will last until October 25, 2014. The event is expected to host the biggest fleet in its history.
Four different popular Eastern Mediterranean yacht holiday locations – Greece, Turkey and Cyprus – each offer their own distinctive benefits as a place to spend the winter, or as a safe and secure location where to leave a yacht for the low season.
Classic sailing yacht Amadour has won this year’s Trophée Bailli de Suffren, as well as the “Sword of Admiral Satan”. Second place went to the last year’s winner – luxury yacht Lelantina.
Next month, Camper & Nicholsons Marinas will launch ‘The 1782 Club’. This represents a new initiative, which will see an exclusive group of independently owned and operated luxury yacht marinas partner with C&N Marinas.
The highly anticipated 34th edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race 2013 will start tomorrow, on Saturday, October 19. The event is expected to be attended by a record number of 100 yachts.
This year’s Rolex Middle Sea Race will be hosting a record number of 109 yachts. The race will kick off from the Malta’s fabulous Grand Harbour on October 19.
The forthcoming Rolex Middle Sea Race 2013 will mark the end of the Mediterranean sailing season. To be hosted by the lovely yacht charter destination – Malta, the event is expected to be attended by more than 100 international yachts.
