On Saturday 16 April K&M Yachtbuilders, builder of aluminium custom-built sailing yachts, will be opening its doors to the public. From 10 am to 4 pm everyone will be welcome in Makkum to familiarise themselves with the shipyard and its work according to the ‘tried and tested formula’: various yachts under construction, several vessels ready for sailing and two speeches. All of the K&M “lines” will be represented: Bestevaer, Stadtship, Axonite and Bestewind.
German yacht and ship photographer Martin Groothuis took the first image of yacht PACIFIC at the shipyard in Vegesack. She has unique styling exterior design and has two openings on her starboard side – likely tender and water toy garages and swimming platforms.
Superyacht ‘Pacific’ is launched in 2010 and she is an impressive 85 metre (278 ft) Lurssen motor yacht with exterior design work by German Frers and her interior design work was created by Bannenberg & Rowell. Yacht Pacific is almost an explorer type yacht in style and she is amoungst the most important new yacht launches by Lurssen in 2010.
K&M Yachtbuilders are proud to announce that they are the chosen yacht builder for an 88 ft (26m) classic sloop TULIP. The Sailing Yacht is designed by the Argentinean Naval Architect German Frers Jr. Sailing Yacht Tulip will offer accommodation for six guests and two crew members. Her lifting keel provides for a large sailing area and more options for navigating in smaller harbours.
