The inaugural Classic Boat Award 2013 in the European Spirit of Tradition class went to the beautiful 40m classic yacht Rainbow by Holland Jachtbouw.
Spectacular sailing yacht Kamaxitha is a 55m Spirit of Tradition ketch, with naval architecture by Dykstra Naval Architects, beautiful interior by Rhoades Young and construction by the prestigious Royal Huisman luxury yacht builder; launched in 2012.
Luxury yacht PUMULA represents a beautifully crafted, true ‘sailor’s yacht’ built by the prestigious Royal Huisman shipyard, to naval architecture by Dykstra Naval Architects and interior by Rhoades Young.
After Day 2 at the 2013 Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous, sailing yacht Cape Arrow took the victory in Division A, while the classic yacht Bolero took the Day Two win in Division B.
A total number of three Dykstra designed luxury vessels have been shortlisted to participate in the eagerly awaited ShowBoats Design Awards 2013: the J Class yacht Rainbow, luxury yacht Pumula as well as superyacht Kamaxitha.
Featuring exterior styling and interior design by bespoke Ken Freivokh, the impressive 63m superyacht Mikhail S. Vorontsov has been shortlisted to participate in the upcoming World Superyacht Awards. She represents the world’s largest all wood classic schooner.
This year’s HISWA Amsterdam in-water Boat Show will play host to the first Nautique Dutch Glory Awards. During the event, Gerard Dijkstra will receive the “Lifetime achievement Award”.
The Dutch manufacturer, Balk Shipyard, has successfully launched the voluminous 65m mega yacht Mikhail S. Vorontsov, in collaboration with the Turkish builder, Dream Ship Victory.
To be once again hosted by an enchanting Caribbean yacht charter destination – Antigua, the 2013 RORC Caribbean 600 race will start on Monday, February 18. There will be 50 luxury vessels competing in this year’s popular race, including nine yachts over 90 feet in LOA, such as the outstanding 203-foot mega yacht Athos.
