Last month, The International SeaKeepers Society returned from a successful shark tagging expedition aboard the 125′ Northcoast super yacht Fugitive and the 150′ Cheoy Lee motor yacht Qing, supporting the University of Miami and National Geographic. The expedition took place at Tiger Beach, a lovely Bahamas yacht charter destination.
The impressive 68m Abeking & Rasmussen super yacht AVIVA (ex Aviva III) is currently in the Rybovich shipyard for a major refit. Next month will see her become the largest yacht to be wrapped in the new high tech Färben marine foils and films by Wild Group International.
A video showing the prestigious Dutch manufacturer, Heesen Yachts, at the 2014 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). During the event, the 65m Heesen superyacht Galactica Star (Project Omnia, YN 16465) received the 2014 ISS Design Award in the ‘Best in Design 65+’ category.
Front Street Shipyard in Belfast, Maine, has contracted Bacchus Yacht Consultancy of Palm Beach, Florida, to source and sell superyacht refit work for the yard. The company is currently in the final stages of two extensive refits: a 124-foot Palmer Johnson pilothouse ketch and a 155-foot Bruce King-designed cold-molded sloop.

The Officers and Executive Committee 2015 has been announced by the International Superyacht Society (ISS), with an effective start date of January 1, 2015.

Hatteras Yachts has reported the strong sales at the recent Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). The company’s largest GT convertible – luxury motor yacht GT70 – was displayed during the event.
